Fourth Quarter Subgrants Deadline....

Announces Next Round of Funding


Applications are due by August 15


Black Creek Arts Council announces August 15th is the deadline for quarter 4 subgrant applications for arts-based programs will take place between April and the end of June 2012. Applications must be postmarked or turned in to Allison Pederson at the Black Creek Arts Center, located at 116 West College Avenue in Hartsville, by 5pm on August 15th.

Organizations must meet not-for-profit criteria, such as being chartered in South Carolina as a non-profit organization. BCAC funds both established and emerging arts-based organizations, as well as individual artists.

BCAC funds events, programs and activities such as: performances and readings; coordination of arts events; workshops and artist residencies; services to artists and organizations; exhibitions; and artistic and managerial development.

BCAC's Subgranting Program is made possible by the Sonoco Foundation, the South Carolina Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The mission of Black Creek Arts Council is to promote and foster the Arts in Darlington County. BCAC's offices are housed in a state of the art 10,000 square foot facility at 116 West College Avenue. BCAC offers a variety of programs including art classes of all styles, after-school activities, pre-school aged programs, private music lessons, and various types of gallery exhibits. BCAC also offers assistance with arts management, funding, education, and program coordination to arts and cultural organizations in Darlington County.

Black Creek Arts Council Announces Next Round of Funding

Applications are Due by February 16th

Black Creek Arts Council announces that February 16th is the deadline for subgrant applications for arts-based programs that will take place between October and December 2010. Applications must be postmarked by February 16th or turned in to Bruce Douglas at the Black Creek Arts Center, located at 116 West College Avenue in Hartsville, by 6pm on February 16th.

Organizations must meet not-for-profit criteria, such as being chartered in South Carolina as a non-profit organization. BCAC funds both established and emerging arts-based organizations, as well as individual artists.

Subgranting Deadlines

BCAC has four deadlines for subgrant applications.

Q1 Deadline: December 15 - This deadline is for projects taking place between July and September.

Q2 Deadline: February 15 - This deadline is for projects taking place between October and December.

Q3 Deadline: June 15 - This deadline is for projects taking place between January and March.

Q4 Deadline: August 15 - This deadline is for projects taking place between April and June.

When the 15th falls on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, the due date is the following Tuesday. If the 15th falls on a Holiday, the due date is the next business day.
